The 74-metre-tall complex, designed by INBO Architecten, provides space for nearly 700 student studios. It sits within walking distance of the Hanze University of Applied Sciences and University of Groningen campus and is a stone’s throw away from the shops in the Reitdiephaven district. The complex is ideal for students in that it maximises space, offers convenient storage solutions as well as a prime location.
The U-shaped complex features a painting by the well-known Groningen artist Werkman on its façade, boasts a courtyard garden with sports fields adjacent to the Reitdiep, as well as space for essential hospitality venues. Students are able to choose from studios ranging between 20 and 40 m2 in size. Truly high-flying students also have the option of moving into a several two-storey apartments at the very top, featuring stunning views. The complex was constructed to be earthquake resistant in consultation with NAM and with the expertise of Geveke Bouw.
